About the Job
The Technical Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IFS Cloud and legacy on-premises environments to ensure high availability, performance, and operational stability.
This role focuses on system monitoring, incident management, infrastructure support, Linux administration, and database monitoring. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams, you will proactively identify and resolve issues, support system maintenance activities, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in same field
Previously worked as site reliability engineer
Hand on experience in supporting IFS Applications / IFS Cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, or OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
Experience administering and monitoring Ubuntu/Linux servers.
Knowledge of Oracle Databases and enterprise infrastructure environments.
Understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident management.
Experience with scripting using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred
IFS installations, upgrades, migrations, and environment administration.
IFS Systems Engineering experience.
Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
Database backup, recovery, patching, and performance tuning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor IFS applications, servers, databases, and infrastructure environments.
Maintain dashboards, alerts, and escalation procedures.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve performance issues.
Support Ubuntu/Linux servers, Oracle databases, and related infrastructure.
Assist with patching, upgrades, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
Develop and maintain automation and monitoring scripts.
Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Ideally you should have a strong hands on background in IFS application monitoring and systems Engineering ,Linux and database administration, and database support. You must be capable of proactively managing enterprise environments through modern monitoring and observability tools to ensure high system availability, performance, and reliability.
